The purpose of The First Academy of Music is to provide individual and small group instruction in music to the congregation and the community. The Academy provides a safe, supportive, Christian environment with high-quality instruction. Our mission is to nurture the musical growth of children, youth, and adults and enhance their abilities to participate in the musical life of the community.
 
Private study is currently being offered in piano, violin, and organ. Lessons are taught on a weekly basis in 30-, 45- and 60-minute blocks. All lessons take place at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Roanoke, and are offered Monday through Saturday. Lesson times and fees are arranged between the instructor and student.
